Alligators and the everglades.....

The Florida everglades is a system of river and it comes from Lake Okeechobee. The first settlers created a drain for their homes and farms.  Actually a dam store the water for the lake, and some of that water flow the everglades.

The everglades is a home for many creatures, and the water is the key for those species. In this place rains since May to October so the dam got sixty inches of water, then it begins to dry up the everglades. for that reason big areas become dry land. the grass and other species die.

When that season comes every animal look for the way how to survive, for example birds fly off to wet spaces, deers look for water, frogs and turtles dig down the mud. Many animals die in that season, fish almos die 90%  in the dry weather.

In the special case are alligator who dig big holes where it remains water. These holes become a home for many insects, turtles, etc. Alligators eat fish,turtles, snakes and other animasl, and sometimes they eat the animals in the holes where they live.

The food chain in this place is very important to save the life of different animals. It begins with mosquitoes who they feed fish with their eggs, and the fish becomes the food for alligator who makes the big holes where many species lives during the dry season.

Alligators are animals who lives in the southeastern of the United States. They are old animals living in the earth. They could be under water for long periods of time.

Specifications for Alligators:

• They have 75 - 80 teeth.
• The temperature determines the gender of alligators.
• In wildlife they can live 35 years.
• They are so big when they are adults.

Actually alligators are in danger, cause its skin is used for made many things. for that reason we have to protect them, if they die, many species will die too.

Indeed, to protect the everglades it was created the Everglades National Park.

How to lower blood pressure.......

Blood Pressure is a serious desease that affect many people around the world.

In this chance we are going to see how to get lower blood pressure...

First you have to follow the medication of your doctor gave you, if you feel bad effects ask your doctor how you can do. Then the next step is check your weight, having low weight is a good advantage to low your pressure, consequently you have to make exercise, that will help you to control your blood pressure. you can swim, walk or cicling. After you can reduce your exercises if your pressure got under control, of course this is got be accomplished with a good and balance diet, indeed eat at least six or seven portions of fruits.

The next step is eat 6 grams of salt per day, many people eat the double of this portion and avoid the lime, vinager, wine and spicies food.

Additionally you have to avoid coffee as much as you can, besides that reduce the consume of alcohol and drugs, extasis and cocaine elevate the blood pressure. Following you have reduce smoking.

Finally you have to get a less stress as you can, and take alternative therapies, like yoga, and dont forget to check yourself your blood pressure with a machine for that.

Title: Today I am an American.....

Every child that was born in the United States is considered as a Citizen, and they don't have to take the test for being like that. In different state are the parents or grandparents of those children, They have to apply to get a legal status. They become petitioners, and they must learn much about U.S. Story and government.


Before people get a citizen's certificate, they have to do several things, like these ones: They have lived in the U.S. at least the last five years, they have to fill an application, after they have to be inteviewed by a person, who make them many questions, in addition the petitioner has to take a written test. In conclusion of these steps, the examiner wants to know about the English and knowledge of the petitione of the United States.


Then they have to promise to be loyal with the United States, After of that the judge gives each person a certificate of a citizenship.


Everybody knows that America is filled out with many from around the world. Scientists says that people of  America may be could become of Asia. Also many people of around the world would like to come to America, for getting new opportunities of life, like having a better job, more freedom in many aspects ot the society like religion, politic, etc. When those people leave their country, only they put a few personal things in some suitcases.


But the first thing that people think of going to another country is enrich ther lives, and in the United States it has the chance to demonostrate their skills, knowledge, etc.


Finally, We can say that many people are living in the United States..... Indeed today is more difficult to go to this country, cause they have several laws and other procceses that make this chance a real dream........

The honest neighbors......

This story happened in a small village in China….

In this place the had live five neighbors named: Chang, Ming, Wong, Woo and Ling. They got together in a public well, after they had drew the water, they talked about their week´s events. They said that they had the best week, since so much time.

Chang said he was getting the best jade in the time. He was recalling the time when the emperor came to their village, and how they saw the gold coins falling from the cart of the emperor. Every of the neighbors found gold coins, buy they said, they gave them back to emperor. They were arguing aboout their actions of gold coins and the emperor. Then a well dressed man came and greeted to them. He had sent by emperor, cause He wanted a special bell for his palace. This object had to be of pure gold, and had to tell who was saying the truth. The man explained that every of the neighbors can proof who was saying the truth about the gold coins.

They had to put their hand on the bell, if the bell remain silence, the person was telling the truth, but if it kept making noise, the person was telling a lie, so Chang, Ming, Wong, Woo and Ling put their hand, and the bell did not make sound, they were so happy and proud, cause they said, “We are honest”. But the man told them hold up their hands, and Chang, Ming, Wong, Woo and Ling, had  dust gold in their hands, so they did not return gold to the emperor.


They were not honest.
